On the Eve of the New Year

It was profoundly moving. My heart is still full from the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day ceremonies. Dear beautiful women — thank you. Truly.
Whenever I try to find words for what happened, they dissolve into silence, as if language itself were too small. And yet something within me still longs to express it.
We were present for one another with our whole being. Nothing was held back. There were no reservations, no taboos — and no fear in our sincere openness. There was only giving. And even the gifts we received were revealed through the act of giving itself.
We lifted one another through the opening of our souls. We held each other — held in care, held in presence, held in the embrace of the Unnameable. In gentle, loving glances we recognized ourselves reflected back. For a moment, a window opened onto a deeper reality — one that reaches into the vastness of the Universe — and our souls expanded into the infinity of that moment.
There were no conditions in the trust we shared, because we recognized that we are always being held. Beyond the limits of the thinking mind, we sensed an ancient belonging — and in that recognition, we became family.
We did not search for community, nor did we try to create it. We simply recognized its certainty within ourselves and within each other. And in recognizing this truth, we were able to rest in its all-embracing peace.
It was grace.
My pure love walks with you — always.
With love,
your traveling companion
