The Prayer of Hope Is an Invocation of Wholeness

The Hungarian language carries a special beauty. There is a word that combines “hope” and “fullness” — suggesting that hope itself is already whole. It contains within it the completeness we try to name whenever we feel a lack and long for its fulfillment.
Whether we speak of health, material well-being, relationship, or anything else — the prayer of hope is, in truth, an invocation of wholeness.
Between hope and wholeness there is only a difference of perspective — the same difference that appears to separate a drop from the ocean, which in essence is nothing other than the drop’s own unchangeable nature.
With love,
your traveling companion
