Recognition Gives Birth to the Intention to Transcend Itself

I have lived through a very deep experience several times during plant-teacher ceremonies. What revealed itself was the process of letting go and the transformation of the perspectives connected to it.
Every influence, every event, every participant in my life appeared as a luminous sphere of energy. The specific stories behind them no longer seemed important. Then the process began: without personal effort, these vibrating spheres gradually started to disappear. The first releases happened almost unnoticed. As their number decreased, the process slowed — yet remained unstoppable.
When only two remained, the image changed with difficulty. A new emotional tone appeared — one that had not been present before. I understood then that this was the stage of releasing the loving bond with my life partner. Then that too was gone, and the single remaining “I-sphere” began falling into a vast depth.
Everything accelerated beyond comprehension — and yet felt strangely still. There were no more reference points. Nothing else remained. Then suddenly this “I” was expelled — and the whole sequence began again and again: from the countless to the one, again and again. I knew it was this “I” that I could not release. I tried in every possible way — but it was impossible. Even the will not to hold on was still an act of will.
The integration of this experience is still unfolding. Years have passed, and only now has something profoundly important become clear — something that may mark the beginning of a true paradigm shift. If the foundational viewpoint does not change, we remain capable only of repeating the same cycles of experience.
The interpretation of infinite Reality through the narrow aperture of the personal self is inevitably limited. But when recognition gives birth to the intention to transcend itself, that viewpoint — while retaining its functional autonomy — begins to embed itself within a greater wholeness.
Then the primary focus is no longer on how this “I” can affect the world, create impact, achieve change, leave a mark, or stand out. Instead, reality — every event and every person within it — is perceived as an authentic helper in the awakening of a greater unity. Why? Because each is present exactly where and when it is needed within that larger whole.
At this point something essential — something transformative — occurs. Through oneself and through the mirror of events, a deeper awareness begins to perceive what can heal whatever still remains stuck in the old viewpoint and keeps consciousness asleep. This deeper self is not the mind and not the ego — it is a more elevated aspect of awareness itself.
Here the ego loses its dominance; its importance becomes minimal. It can no longer strive to be right or to possess. The moment brings clear recognitions, allowing and accepting the supportive intention within whatever appears in lived reality. In proportion to this allowing, old conditionings and reflexive defenses begin to rewrite themselves.
Thus the “more” carried by the greater unity becomes visible and experiential within what once seemed merely repetitive. Perhaps this is one of the true entry points into a paradigm shift.
With love,
your traveling companion
