The Silence of Peace

The silence of peace surrounds me when I live, in the present moment, the quality that is truly available to me. I am grateful that truth continually calls me toward honesty.
When I try to experience the moment according to the desires and projections of my mind, I immediately become inauthentic in relation to reality. The events of my life seem to lose their natural flow within the steady fullness of truth.
Everything becomes clear and uplifting when I allow myself to be exactly who I am in that moment. Doubt often arises from the effort to align with an imagined version of myself — one for which I do not yet have the inner capacity. When my attention fixes on that image, I am chasing a mirage.
But when I allow honesty to guide me — when I fully live the wholeness I truly embody now — then each unfolding remains undisturbed. Nothing needs to be forced. I only need to give myself completely to the way I am able to act and be.
A flower is perfect in every stage of its existence. It fully represents what is happening in that moment: the emerging bud, each phase of opening, full blossoming, the gradual release of petals, even the withering — all are complete in their own truth. Each is wholly what it is, and therefore whole.
With love,
your traveling companion
