Through Christmas, I Celebrate You

Through Christmas, I celebrate you.
And through you, I celebrate all of us.
And in the absence of patterns that would support this, I am learning to celebrate myself as well — beyond special dates, beyond tradition, beyond expectations. Simply because I deserve it. And so do you.
I exist — and I experience my existence. I do what I can, as I can. And you do the same.
I want to celebrate myself when I soar in the uplifted lightness of a moment — and also when I am still present in my lowest valleys. When I am flowing in love — and when I pause, sensing my own inner closedness. I wish to honor the moments when joy fully blossoms — and also those times when I humbly accept the incomprehensibility of sorrowful events.
I celebrate when I courageously embrace the opportunities and possibilities given to me and walk the path set before me — and also when I stumble because of my defenses and fears.
Because I am capable of living through all of this — I am worthy of celebration.
And you are worthy of celebration too.
With all the love in my heart, I wish that far beyond Christmas you may become Happiness, you may become Blessing, you may become Peace.
May you yourself be the Celebration.
With love,
your traveling companion
