What would happen if we could no longer wait for inspiration or guidance from others?
What would happen if there were no longer any support coming from outside—and no more excuses to postpone immediate action?
What would happen if no form of numbing could bring even the illusion of joy anymore?
Would every substance and activity that creates dependency lose its effect?
What would happen if we had to discover and live love and all essential knowledge within ourselves?
What would happen if we could rely only on our faith in our relationship with the Unnameable?
If all this were so, where would what we call real life take place most of all—within us, or on the stage of the world?
And finally: what would happen if we realized that it is, in truth, never any other way?
